Old-Time Music Festival celebrating the life and music of Patty Looman – renowned mountain and hammered dulcimer musician (2007 Vandalia Award Winner – WV’s highest folklife honor) The festival is the first Saturday in June and includes an open stage, workshops and traditional Appalachian foods for sale. Historically always held in Pleasant Valley, as of 2026, the festival has moved to Morgantown.

The 5th Annual Barrackville Covered Bridge Festival will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, bringing families, friends, and neighbors together for food vendors, craft show, activities, and hometown pride. Enjoy local artisans, entertainment for all ages, community history, and a full day of small-town charm. Everyone is welcome
Come out and watch some of the best blacksmiths in North Central West Virginia apply their skills. There will be demonstrations throughout the day on many aspects of traditional and modern blacksmithing.

Back in the Day show band is a group that enjoys bringing their rockabilly-style music to any venue. This group of musicians will take you back to the days of sock hop-music and will have you singing and dancing along to your favorite ‘50s and ‘60s tunes. Free and open to the public.
