Each year since 1966, canoers and kayakers have paddled their way down Buffalo Creek (from Hough Park to Farmington) to take the winning title. A reception and awards ceremony is held at the Farmington Fire Department following the race.
This event is held in the beginning of May is also known as the Annual Joel McCann Memorial Canoe Race.
